Robin Kinney, APSW
I am a strengths-based Advanced Practice Social Worker with a passion for working with people who are struggling with mental health symptoms, challenging life situations, or are going through major life transitions.
I am particularly interested in the transition to parenthood: through pregnancy, birth, life with a newborn, and the struggles
Becoming a parent, as well as other life transitions and traumatic events, can cause you to feel overwhelmed, isolated, frustrated, filled with anger, shame, worry, sadness, and/or doubt. Life feels flipped upside-down and you hardly recognize yourself, your body, thoughts, moods, or behaviors, and your lived experiences do not match what you anticipated. You are not alone in your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe you are a good person having a hard time. You are brave and resilient.

I am a trauma-informed therapist and I primarily utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as I compassionately join you on your healing journey to become the grounded, sturdy, and confident person you want to be in the world.
I love to work with teens! I work with teens and adults on issues like depression, anxiety, parenting – including perinatal mental health and the transition to being a parent, co-parenting, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, and more.
