Amy Racki, Counselor-in-Training
HEART Counseling is excited to welcome Amy Racki, Counselor-in-Training!
Amy is completing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Grace College.
With a background in the medical field and a passion for equitable healthcare, Amy has previous experience in a community mental health setting working with individual clients with a history of significant trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Amy works with teens (ages 10 and older), young adults, and adults facing challenges with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma – particularly individuals who have been through a crisis or trauma involving natural disasters. Amy also has an interest in working with athletes, anyone struggling with body image, people struggling with work/life balance or stress management, and those interested in incorporating faith into their therapy.
While Amy is still developing her practice style and theoretical orientation, she has utilized solution-focused brief therapy, emotion-focused therapy, as well as person-centered and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques with clients in the past. Amy has also taken trainings in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), the neurobiology of trauma, and is currently training in IFS (Internal Family Systems), or parts work.
To schedule with Amy, use our contact form or email her directly at amy@heartcounselingllc.com.
Amy says, “I believe every individual has been formed through interactions and experiences with people in their lives and their environment. Regardless of where we find ourselves today, inherent in all of us is the ability to make changes toward wholeness. As a therapist, I offer a safe space to process life transitions, mental health challenges, and wellness-related goals. I will help you explore all the parts of who you are, leveraging your strengths to help lead you toward your authentic self.”
