Savannah Buttermore, LPC-IT

Psychotherapist

Savannah is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program.

Savannah completed her spring 2026 internship with us at HEART Counseling as a graduate intern. She was so fantastic that we wanted her to continue serving clients at HEART. So, in the summer of 2026 she will officially join HEART Counseling as a psychotherapist and licensed professional counselor (in training)!

Prior to joining HEART Counseling, Savannah completed two internships where she honed her clinical experience. Savannah interned at a residential treatment program for youth who have been involved with the justice system as an alternative to incarceration. There, she worked closely with the youth to build rapport and also co-facilitated DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) groups. Savannah also interned at a community mental health program, where she provided individuals with severe and persistent mental illness with comprehensive community services. In this role, Savannah provided case management, medication management, assessment, and treatment planning.
