KK Kothe, MPH, MSW Intern
Graduate Social Work Intern
KK is a graduate student completing her final year of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Social Work.
Before joining HEART Counseling, KK worked at UW-Madison as a Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Specialist. There she provided holistic support to students facing personal and academic challenges. In this role, KK advised four mental health-focused student organizations, trained peer leaders on campus, and worked with students one-on-one to support any ongoing mental health needs. She also facilitated campus-wide trainings on mental health support for students, faculty, and staff.
True to social work values, KK identified and helped students access appropriate resources while advocating to expand campus offerings and bolster peer support.

KK previously earned her MasterĀ of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she focused on community mental health support.
She has also worked at the Hope Surrogacy Center, where she found her passion for working in the perinatal mental health space.
KK believes everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported.
Life can be overwhelming, and asking for help isn’t always easy.
Her goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are.
